Land Operations Tactical Planning Course

The aim of the course is to train and empower tactical planners to contribute confidently and effectively within NATO Tactical Level Headquarters. The course enables participants to apply the NATO Tactical Planning Process (APP-28), conduct mission analysis, develop and compare Courses of Action (COAs), integrate staff contributions, and produce decision-ready outputs that strengthen interoperability and planning capacity across NATO land headquarters at Corps, Division, and Brigade level. This course is conducted with instructional support from a Mobile Training Team (MTT) provided by NRDC-GR and participation is open to officers form the NATO community and the NATO Force Structure Headquarters.

Hellenic Army War College (HAWC) will conduct two iterations of the Land Operations Tactical Planning Course (LOTPC) in 2026, as part of the College’s effort to obtain NATO certification for the course:

a. Pilot Iteration: 09–20 February 2026

b. Monitored Iteration (Certification): 14–25 September 2026.

Applications for participation are submitted the designated form available on the website. The completed form must be sent to the email addresses spsx@army.gr and spsx.3eg@army.gr no later than two (2) months prior to the commencement of each course iteration.
