On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, a seminar on historical strategic thinking was held at the auditorium of the Hellenic Army War College, with the participation of Associate Professor Xydopoulos Ioannis and Dr. Hatzelis Georgios from the Department of History and Archaeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During the seminar, the evolution of strategic and tactical thinking through the centuries was presented and analyzed in the light of classical texts, such as Homer’s “Iliad”, Xenophon’s “Cyrus Anavasis”, Mauritius’ “Strategikon” and Leo VI the Wise’s “Tactics”.
