A “Mental Health” seminar was conducted on the 15th of May 2026, in the auditorium of the Hellenic Army War College, by specialised medical officers from the Outpatient Psychiatric Department of the 424 General Military Training Hospital of Thessaloniki. During the seminar, the following subject areas were expanded upon:
- Role of Military Psychiatry
- General Principles of Psychopathology
- Alcohol – Psychoactive substances – Gambling
- Stress Management
- Sexual harassment and domestic violence in military environment
In the context of the seminar, the President of the Northern Greece Veterans’ association “Hellenic Force in Cyprus 1974”, Mr Athanasios Staikos, delivered a testimonial speech regarding combat stress.
