From June 23 to 26 ,2026 the HAWC conducted an educational trip in the form of a historical – staff ride to the Area of Responsibility of the 8th Motorized Infantry Brigade in Ioannina.
During the educational trip, visits were made to the Officers’ Club of the 8th Motorized Infantry Brigade of Ioannina With a tour of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Eleousa and the Holy Monastery of Philanthopinon, Wreath – Laying at the Fallen Monument, at the Military Museum of Balkan Wars1912-1913 “EMIN AGA”, followed by the presentation by the 1st and 2nd Sudent Groups regarding the commanders and key figures of the battle for the liberation of Ioannina (1913). At th the village of Manoliassa a Wreath was laid place at the Fallen Monument, and the 3rd and 5th Student groups gave a presentation on the prevailing conditions and logistical support subsequently ,at the Bizani fortifications , the 4th and 6th Student Groups presented details regarding the conduct of the battle. Finally a visit was made to the village of Monodendri inclining the Rizarios Foundation to view the photography and wewving exhibitions, the Holy Monastery of Agia Paraskevi, and the Vrellis Wax Museum.
The Commander of the HAWC, 10 Officer Instructors, and 71 Students of the 14th Educational Class of HAWC participated in the educational trip.
